Key areas of expertise are Machine and Deep Learning, Knowledge-Based Systems and embedded software design applied to space missions in autonomous decision-making, payload data information extraction, failure detection, and mission replanning.

Technology/expertise for ENLIGHTEN project:

AIKO is a company that commercialises artificial intelligence-based technologies for upstream space applications. AIKO has developed a time-series analysis technology based on Machine Learning to detect anomalies and novelties in space-related telemetry streams. AIKO has also created a Machine Learning-based optimisation and deployment framework that optimises Machine Learning algorithms when deployed in an embedded target. Such heritage will be crucial for developing software for the reusable Ariane launcher’s transient start-up phase under the ENLIGHTEN project. Specifically, AIKO will provide machine learning capabilities to detect failures and emit alerts during the chamber or gas generator’s transient from at rest to fully ignited.

AIKO is convinced that artificial intelligence techniques will enable the next generation of launchers, making space more sustainable. The ENLIGHTEN project ensures that AIKO will continue to advance its heritage in health monitoring technology but also forging new partnerships and solidifying its position as a trailblazer in AI for space in the EU.
